I have worked with Lauren Brennan since the onset of the gastric issues I have had. Her advice has been very valuable in steering me in the right direction. She is very professional and a pleasure to work with.

Good afternoon, I recently had a colonoscopy at your Bestgate Rd, Annapolis facility on Thursday morning, August 8th. I wanted to take a moment to share my overall experience and provide some feedback. First, I would like to commend the staff and doctors for their politeness and professionalism. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, which contributed to a generally positive experience. However, I encountered an issue that I feel needs addressing. The anesthesiologist’s demeanor was notably aggressive and seemed almost angry. When I informed her about my sleep apnea and CPAP usage, her response was alarming. She said, “Well if you have any issues, I’m going to wake you up and you will just have to be awake for the procedure.” Her tone was far from reassuring and made me feel uncomfortable. Her manner during the entire process, including when I had to reposition on the gurney, was quite brusque, which was distressing. Additionally, I would like to address the EKG lead pads used during my procedure. In my previous experiences with EKG tests, I have never encountered such discomfort. The pads that your facility used had an adhesive that was difficult to remove and caused significant pain, pulling at my skin and removing all body hair which they came in contact with. While one pad was removed while I was unconscious, the others were left for me to deal with later. Why were they not removed when the leads were removed while I was still unconscious. I suggest considering less aggressive pads or offering to shave the area where the leads will be applied to improve patient comfort. My wife, who had a similar procedure at your facility last month, also experienced difficulties with the anesthesiologist. It seems this may be an ongoing issue. Both of us work in professional environments where customer service and demeanor are crucial, and we believe the same should apply to patient interactions. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I hope it can help improve the experience for future patients. Best regards, Michael Mooney

The doctor performed the best he could, I suppose because my colon was not totally cleaned. The office emailed forms to me to purchase Gatorade and laxatives The doctor put in the report that I had a Colonoscopy with Extended Prep Protocol - this is NOT TRUE! I was told I now need to have a Colonoscopy with Extended Prep Protocol because my colon was not clean enough. I was told to buy laxatives and Gatorade (that I did) and followed the procedure that I was given. I was NOT given the EXTENDED protocol until after my procedure and was told I need to have it done again. I was given the extended form - this time WITH the Rx . I am the only person I know who was told to use a Gatorade solution. I asked why I was not given a prescription and was told the the Gatorade solution was the same thing - I now know it isn't. I hope there are no later problems; I do not think my insurance will pay for a retest because of the report the doctor submitted.

Care was prompt and professional. I never had to wait long between the various steps involved in my procedure. All of the staff was friendly and very clear about what they were doing and what would happen next. They answered questions and clarified as needed and were very patient. I was comfortable and at-ease throughout my entire experience and procedure. I definitely recommend Dr. Olenec and this practice.

Dr. Jackson has set a colonoscopy that is needed to determine what treatment if any is required. I am not certain that I have colitis. She will help me resolve this.

This was a seamless experience and the service I received was at the highest professional level. The prep for the colonoscopy was a challenge this time for me, but that’s outweighed by my piece of mind. I attended the funeral today for wonderful neighbor who died from colon cancer at the age of 55.

Everyone that I had contact with was was great except for the nurse, I don’t know her name, but she has short blonde hair, and was the one that actually hooked my IV up she would not make eye contact with me. She did not introduced herself to me. She would not speak to me at all. I’m pretty sure his name is Sam Who serves in the military? He put my oxygen on, and gave me the injection of propofol Was so very kind and so informative. He made me feel so much at ease.

Today I had a colonoscopy with Dr. Jenks who is excellent and really cares about his patients. The staff were all very friendly and professional. They made me feel more comfortable. Nurse Nathalie was so gentle putting in my IV that I didn’t even feel it going in.
