Three years ago I had a colonoscopy that went very badly. I went into shock twice at the emergency room! A small artery was cut and I was obviously bleeding badly. Anne Arundel Gastroenterology Associates, P.A. thought it was just a nick in the vein and would fix itself. I was treated like an annoyance on a Friday night. "She can wait until Tomorrow morning" is what I kept hearing. After blood clots formed in my legs bc hospital didn't put on stockings, I thought it best not to sue. Currently, I am trying to talk to Olenec who refuses to explain to me what happened. After calling 3 times, he told a secretary that "it was 5 years ago and not relevant now".... wow, he didn't even look at my chart. It was 3 years and Dr Olenec owes me an explanation and an apology!

Emily was very knowledgeable & helpful in coming up with a treatment plan to addresss my bowel issues. I have noticed an improvement. Would recommend her to anyone seeking a recommendation.

Makeda was awesome and very knowledgeable. Seemed to really want to understand my history and where she could help. I was a little confused by the visit because I had a referral from my doctor for a scan, first available was a few weeks out when I talked to schedulers who left me with the impression I was scheduling the scan. When I got to the appt, it was a 10 minute long and just a talk, no scan, and a second referral for the scan I already had a referral for. First available for the scan was over a month away. So from my doctor asking for the scan to the scan she asked for is almost two months and another two visits? Not sure if I was billed for a visit confirming that my doctors original referral but wish I could have gotten all done on a single visit that I had already waited several weeks for. Like I said though, the quality of the care seemed extremely professional!!

Dr. Alison is an exceptional doctor who treated my H. Pylori diagnosis. She is very patient, punctual, and takes the time to explain things clearly.

Dr. Velamati quickly determined a source of my issue, and she was right. I promptly dropped the BP medication she suspected was giving me problems and saw a significant improvement. However, there are still more issues to resolve. I felt a little rushed and would have liked to spend more time with her
