I have extreme anxiety about the prep day. I felt that Emily just shrugged it off and didn't care. In fact I believe she made the prep day even worse because I don't go everyday I have to do a 2 hour drink beginning at 2 am. I also explained that I am hypo-glycemic which she didn't seem to care about as well. There has to be a better way to approach this when you have a person on medications for anxiety and depression. I realize you probably get a lot of people complaining about the prep but please show some sense of caring and not just brush their concerns aside.

Good afternoon,
I recently had a colonoscopy at your Bestgate Rd, Annapolis facility on Thursday morning, August 8th. I wanted to take a moment to share my overall experience and provide some feedback.
First, I would like to commend the staff and doctors for their politeness and professionalism. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, which contributed to a generally positive experience.
However, I encountered an issue that I feel needs addressing. The anesthesiologist’s demeanor was notably aggressive and seemed almost angry. When I informed her about my sleep apnea and CPAP usage, her response was alarming. She said, “Well if you have any issues, I’m going to wake you up and you will just have to be awake for the procedure.” Her tone was far from reassuring and made me feel uncomfortable. Her manner during the entire process, including when I had to reposition on the gurney, was quite brusque, which was distressing.
Additionally, I would like to address the EKG lead pads used during my procedure. In my previous experiences with EKG tests, I have never encountered such discomfort. The pads that your facility used had an adhesive that was difficult to remove and caused significant pain, pulling at my skin and removing all body hair which they came in contact with. While one pad was removed while I was unconscious, the others were left for me to deal with later. Why were they not removed when the leads were removed while I was still unconscious. I suggest considering less aggressive pads or offering to shave the area where the leads will be applied to improve patient comfort.
My wife, who had a similar procedure at your facility last month, also experienced difficulties with the anesthesiologist. It seems this may be an ongoing issue. Both of us work in professional environments where customer service and demeanor are crucial, and we believe the same should apply to patient interactions.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I hope it can help improve the experience for future patients.
Best regards,
Michael Mooney
